About the event
There is something so satisfying about turning a lump of clay into a functional piece of kitchenware that can be used in your day-to-day life. In this workshop, you will create this kitchen staple item and experience the satisfaction first-hand!
Following step-by-step guidance you will learn how to hand-build a butter dish, all the tools are provided to add your own creative flare throughout. This workshop is suitable for all levels of experience. You're encouraged to come along with an open mind and playfulness!
What to expect:
- Learn how to hand build pottery to create functional items
- Build and create a butter dish with help from ceramics artist
- Decorate your butter dish using coloured clay slips and ceramics tools
Your finished item will be left with your hosts who will fire and glaze your work. You will be contacted to collect your work from your host within 2-4 weeks.
