Over four engaging sessions, we’ll guide you from the basics to more advanced techniques, covering essential skills like centering, pulling up, and wiring off. This course is designed to study throwing in detail to build your confidence and material knowledge.

Rather than focusing on creating specific items, this course emphasises material knowledge and experimentation to help you build robust skills. Key focus areas include:

• Thickness: Control the wall thickness of your pottery pieces

Classes are held once a week at the same time for four consecutive weeks, allowing you to steadily build and refine your skills. Build up your own bespoke body of work, ready for a glazing workshop (included in this ticket). The glazing course will be held after 2 weeks to ensure time for your work to be fired.
